Kiah Roache-Turner
Before beginning his career as a writer/director Kiah studied film, photography and fine arts at SCA then worked for a number of years as a commercials and music video director before self-financing his debut feature WYRMWOOD in 2015. That film premiered at Fantastic Fest, 2015 in Austin Texas and became an instant cult hit, going straight to number one on Netflix and winning Best Film at the Trieste International Film Festival. His follow up feature NEKROTRONIC, starring Monica Bellucci, premiered at the 2018 Toronto Film Festival and his third film WYRMWOOD APOCALYPSE premiered at Sitges IFF and won the Audience Award at the 2021 Sydney Film Festival.
His latest film STING starring Alyla Browne (Furiosa, The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart) and Ryan Corr (House of the Dragon, Holding The Man) ranked in the top 10 on its opening weekend at the US box office and featured creature effects by the multi-Academy Award winning WETA Workshop. Kiah is currently in post-production on his 5th feature BEAST OF WAR, a WW2 period shark film starring Mark Coles Smith (Mystery Road, Last Cab to Darwin) and Lee Tiger Halley (Boy Swallows Universe).
