Zachary Garred

Zac Garred is an actor, writer, and producer who was named in 2024 as one of Screen New South Wales Emerging Producers and a recipient of the Emerging Producer Placement. With decades of experience as an actor across television series and feature films between Los Angeles and Australia, Zac has also been producing and developing work in the television and feature film space.

In 2022, Zac co-produced the crime thriller Bring Him to Me (Roadside Attractions/Goldwyn). He also acted in the film alongside Barry Pepper, Sam Neill, and Rachel Griffiths. 


The film opened in cinemas across Australia and America, then spent four weeks in Amazon Australia's Top Ten and opened at number two on Hulu in the US in July 2024. In 2024, he produced AACTA nominee Tristram Baumber’s directorial debut Site Unseen, a horror/comedy about real estate agents, where he also stars as one of the real estate agents. Site Unseen will be in cinemas in 2025.

Zac is also in advanced development with Bruce Beresford on Darcy, a feature film adaptation of the Les Darcy story that Zac has co-written with Tom Arthur and Bruce Beresford. Bruce will direct, and Zac will produce. Zac has a degree in Communications and History from the University of Newcastle, and he works between Los Angeles and his hometown of Newcastle, Australia.
