Trish Lake
Independent film producer and former ABC television journalist, Trish Lake, is Managing Director of Brisbane-based Freshwater Pictures, which develops and produces narrative features and feature documentaries for cinema. Her feature film Early Winter (dir. Michael Rowe) won the prestigious Venice Days Award at the Venice Film Festival. Her producing credits include the narrative features, Spit and Gettin’ Square (dir. Jonathan Teplitzky) and Subdivision (dir. Sue Brooks). Her documentary producing and executive producing credits include Flyways, Alick and Albert, Love Opera, The Eulogy, Meet the Wallers, Wik Versus Queensland, Frackman, Show Me the Magic, My America, and The Burning Season.
A former national president of Screen Producers Australia, Trish consults to film festivals, screen agencies, and tertiary institutions, including Griffith Film School, where she has run a comprehensive producer mentor program. Until recently, she was Artistic Director of Tasmania’s film festival, BOFA.
