Megan Norris

Megan Norris is a UK-trained journalist and multi-award-winning author whose portfolio includes covering some of Australia’s most infamous crimes. Her first book, Perfect Victim, co-authored with author, Elizabeth Southall, is now a movie starring Sam Neill, Miranda Otto, and Guy Pearce. 


Her exploration of revenge killings during marital breakdown,  Look What You Made Me Do, won the 2017 Davitt Award from Australian Sisters in Crime Davitt for best non-fiction. Megan’s book on Bali bomb survivor Therese Fox, Out of the Ashes, won the 2023 Davitt Award Best Non-Fiction and was shortlisted by the judges of the prestigious Australian Crime Writers Association for Ned Kelly Award the same year. It was endorsed by former Australian Prime Minister, John Howard. 


Megan is a regular contributor to Australian Women’s Weekly and has written for Good Weekend, the UK Mail on Sunday, Who Weekly, New Idea, Woman’s Day Marie Claire and other magazines in Australia and overseas. She has been a guest on 60 Minutes, Foxtel’s Crimes That Shook Australia, Channel Seven’s Sunday Night and Today Tonight as well as Ten’s, The Project. Look What You Made Me Do has been featured over six weeks on the Mama Mia True Crime Podcast and she has been a regular guest on Mishel Laurie’s acclaimed podcast, True Crime Australia. 


The author of seven books, her work has been syndicated worldwide. Megan is the Queensland Convenor for Australia’s Sisters in Crime. Megan lives on the Gold Coast with her husband, Steve, their grandson, Nathan, and his dog, Larry.
