Lucy Gaffy
Lucy Gaffy is an award‑winning filmmaker celebrated for her dynamic storytelling and distinctive directorial voice. She most recently completed the four‑part mini-series Mix Tape for Binge/Foxtel, which had its worldwide premiere at the 2025 SXSW Festival, where it received the prestigious TV Spotlight Audience Award.
In 2023 Lucy served as the set‑up director for the Stan/Sundance series Totally Completely Fine, establishing the visual language and tone for the production. The year prior, she directed five episodes of the Netflix series Irreverent, further cementing her reputation as a versatile and innovative director. Her additional television credits include The Unlisted (Netflix), Amazing Grace (Nine Network), and Doctor Doctor (Nine Network).
In 2021, Lucy directed We, the Spiders, the opening chapter of the acclaimed anthology feature Here Out West. The film premiered as the Opening Night selection of the Sydney Film Festival and went on to earn a nomination for Best Film at the 2022 AACTA Awards.
In 2026, Lucy has received an AACTA nomination for Best Direction in Drama or Comedy for her work on the MiniSeries Mix Tape, further recognising her outstanding directorial achievements.
Alongside her active directing career, Lucy is developing a slate of new screen projects with the director’s collective GOONO, including the short film THE WORM which Lucy Produced, that recently premiered at the 2026 Sundance film Festival.
