Lisa Cox OAM is a media professional, author, TEDx speaker, scriptwriter, award-winning copywriter, and internationally-awarded thought leader, who advocates for disability inclusion from both sides of the camera. Lisa’s current PhD studies explore how we can use the world’s most powerful and influential industries to reshape social attitudes about disability and neurodivergence, thus changing social outcomes. Combining her professional background working with national and international clients, and decades of lived experience, Lisa has collaborated with industry, government, and decision-makers, to remove the barriers and systemic injustice faced by people with a disability. Reflecting on her years of being a non-disabled writer in creative departments, Lisa takes a shame-free approach to educating other professionals in best practice for navigating the nuances of disability inclusive content.
