Leila McDougall

Leila McDougall is an award-winning filmmaker, actress, and producer dedicated to creating stories that inspire and celebrate the resilience of the human spirit. Drawing from her rich and diverse life experiences, Leila believes every path she has walked has equipped her with the skills and perspective needed to fulfill her lifelong dream of making impactful films.


Her debut feature film, Just a Farmer, has received widespread recognition, winning Best Oceania Actress at the Septimius Awards-Amsterdam, Best Narrative Feature at the Buffalo International Film Festival-New York, the Audience Choice Award at the Saint-Tropez Antipodes Film Festival-France, Best Film at the International Film Festival Australia and Best Narrative Feature at the Iris Global Health Film Festival-Colorado. 

Leila founded VAM Paddock Productions, a company devoted to crafting stories that resonate deeply with audiences and celebrate the resilience and beauty of the human spirit. Her films are designed to touch your soul, leaving a lasting impression that lingers long after the credits roll. 

Currently, Leila is developing two captivating projects: Wild Flower Hill, a 1940s period romance set in Victoria, and Epona, an epic tale that weaves mythology and resilience into a timeless story of hope and redemption.
