Lauren Cooper
Lauren Cooper is an Australian Location Manager with 20 years experience delivering high pressure film and television productions across the country and internationally, working with studios including Warner Bros., Netflix, Legendary, and Amazon MGM. Lately she been busy on the water as the Supervising Location Manager of the Amazon MGM Studios feature film Subversion, starring Chris Hemsworth filmed on the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
Lauren’s work sits where creative vision meets the realities of scale, time, and place. She is trusted on productions where locations shape the story, the schedule, and the outcome. Known for pushing for the strongest creative result and for taking on the hard, complex work others may step away from, her projects often unfold in demanding environments with significant logistical, safety, and community considerations. Calm, decisive, and deeply collaborative, she navigates the tension between vision and reality to deliver locations that hold under pressure and elevate the final film.
Her recent credits include Baz Lurhmann’s - Elvis, Volron, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Mortal Kombat 2, and Ticket to Paradise.
Lauren is the Queensland Regional Executive of the International Location Managers Guild (LMGI).
