Jemma Burns
Jemma Burns is the founder of music supervision company Pulse Points. After studying film in London, her first break in Australia was on cult series Summer Heights High. Having now worked on over well over 100 film and TV productions, she regularly collaborates with some of the world’s most renowned directors and production companies including Plan B Entertainment, See-Saw Films, A24, Anonymous Content, Netflix et al.
She enjoys working closely with directors to craft the soundtrack to their productions, through the use of score, licensed music or commissioned songs. She also loves pairing the right composer with the right director, knowing how pivotal that relationship can be. Recent films include Inside (Charles Williams), The Royal Hotel (Kitty Green) and Beau is Afraid (Ari Aster). In television: the Emmy award-winning Heartbreak High reboot and Boy Swallows Universe (both Netflix). Upcoming releases include David Michod’s stoner comedy Wizards! and beguiling sci-fi Love Me starring Kristen Stewart and Steven Yeun.
