David Wenham
David Wenham has received critical acclaim for his work in film, theatre and television, and is one of Australia’s most respected actors. His film credits include Lion, Lord of the Rings, Gettin’ Square, Oranges and Sunshine, Moulin Rouge, Australia, 300, Goldstone, The Bank, Molokai, Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Rabbit, Dirt Music, and most recently, Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis.
In 2017, he wrote and directed his debut feature film, Ellipsis. His television credits include Jane Campion’s Top of the Lake, Pieces of Her, The Code, Killing Time, Romper Stomper, Better Man, Banishes, Wake in Fright, Les Norton, and Faraway Downs.
Most recently David can be seen in Fake on Paramount+. In 2022, David hosted his first interview show, The ABC Of, which featured interviews with Ita Buttrose, Evonne Goolagong Cawley, Wil Anderson, Sarah Ferguson, and John Howard, and was brought back for a second season in 2023 due to its success.
David also has numerous theatre credits, including Cyrano De Bergerac, The Crucible, True West, Hamlet, The Tempest, Cosi, and Jerry Springer The Opera. Most recently, he was seen in the Old Vic production A Christmas Carol, for which he won a Greenroom Award.
