See a live read of OVER HER DEAD BODY, the winner of the 2024 AACTA Pitch: Regional Landscapes feature film development program. Featuring a special cast of familiar faces, this is an opportunity to get a ‘first listen’ to this hilarious comedy and gain insight into the film development process. When Marilyn Fong is tasked with bringing her mum’s body home to the outback for her funeral, two tagalongs – her hyper-critical aunt and irresponsible brother – derail all her plans and drag her on the worst road trip of her life.

Celebrating their 25th year Screenworks is the proud partner of the Regional Landscapes program, which aims to give regionally based Australian creatives the chance to develop a feature film that celebrates the idiosyncratically Australian stories inspired by our stunning regional areas. OVER HER DEAD BODY was created by Jacqui Lim, Tamara Whyte and Daniel Stevenson and will be produced by Bordertown Films. The script has been developed with the generous assistance of Screen Queensland.

Cast to be announced soon!
