How can women and gender-diverse individuals benefit from 21st century mentorship in a relationships-based industry? As Screen Australia’s Gender Matters Taskforce and WIFT Australia prepare to deliver the ElevateUs mentorship program, they’ll examine why mentorship remains a key pillar of any gender-parity strategy for above and below the line roles, and executive roles alike. They’ll reflect on models such as 'multi-directional mentorship' which explores the two-way benefits of a mentorship relationship, and 'sponsorship' which extends mentorship beyond just talk and into action.

A discussion will also take place on how mentors and mentees can maximise the benefits of this opportunity, so that its impacts can be felt long after the end of the three-month program.
