Peta Sergeant
Peta Sergeant has had an extraordinary career since graduating from NIDA in 2000, with remarkable roles in film, television and theatre. Peta’s feature films include the action adventure Heavenquest: A Pligrim’s Progress, thriller Infidel, Mark Hartley’s Patrick, New Holland Picture’s Iron Sky, which was shown at the 62nd annual Berlin Film Festival and Maker Film’s thriller Crawlspace, which had its international premiere at the Stiges Film Festival in Spain. Other film credits include Disney’s George of the Jungle II and The Bet, directed by Mark Lee, which premiered at the London/Australasia Film festival and then in Australia at the Sydney Film Festival.
Peta is renowned for her work in the US crime drama television series Snowfall, playing the role of ‘Julia’ over several seasons. She starred as the lead villain ‘Nyxly’ in the DC Comics series Supergirl (Series 6), the Stephen King series Castle Rock opposite Bill Skarsgard, comedy American Woman and telemovie Gone Hollywood.. Other US credits include the fantasy drama The Originals for the CW Network, the ABC network drama Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and the futuristic drama The Selection in the leading role of ‘Commander Gaia Woods’. Her Australian television credits include a role in the hugely successful comedy Winners and Losers and an ongoing lead role in the award-winning series Satisfaction (Series 1 & 2). She has also appeared in Canal Road, All Saints, Two Twisted: Soft Boiled Luck, Last Man Standing, Headstart, Beastmaster, Headland and Jeopardy, the BAFTA award winning BBC series. Peta received an AACTA Award nomination for her work in the House of Hancock in the role of ‘Rose’, as co-lead with Sam Neill.
Peta has worked with many major theatre companies including Melbourne Theatre Company in the critically acclaimed production of All About My Mother and Birdland, as well as Griffin Theatre’s Savage River which toured nationally.
